19 Things to Load on Santa's Sleigh

Another year has all but flown by, ushering in our 30th year in business.  It has been a tremendous year for us so far, with you voting for us as your Best Craft Shop in the recent Hamilton Spectator Reader's Choice Awards.  Now we are entering the final countdown to Christmas!

The artisans of Textures (a.k.a. Santa's elves) have been hard at work all year, and are now ramping up even more to offer the best handcrafted wares for all your holiday gift-giving and decorating needs!

The Christmas trees have started arriving at Textures, and more items will continue to arrive throughout the holidays - check back with us often.  And if you see something you like, you better snap it up to avoid disappointment!

  • Mon. - Fri.:  9:30 am to 9 p.m.

Textures Artisan Profile:  Patti Fortune

My paintings are a celebration of life … of dreams and imagination … and the beauty that surrounds us.
I enjoy the creative time I spend in my studio where I am able to reflect upon life, create new ideas and ultimately share my enthusiasm and inspiration with others.

Being creative and caring for the people that I love and admire, is for me the greatest expression of all that I am passionate about … truly embracing me in happiness.
It is my desire to create and celebrate the success of what we do in our lives and to be an inspiration to be the best we can be.

For me my art is the positive energy of life every day and a reminder to enjoy the moment.
I am currently expanding my work to include words to wear … jewellery that is inspired by the words in my paintings.

Have a wonderful day,

So that concludes today's blog post.  Stay tuned for more holiday fun at the shop.

Hope to see you there soon!
